MEET JAY ESKX OWNER
Jay Jones is the owner and operator of ESKX LLC, Jay's Italian Ice, and host of Taste of Soul NC & NC Sugar Rush with over 10 years of successful business experience. He is a husband, father, grandfather, and alumnus of Durham's local HBCU, North Carolina Central University.
Combining his knowledge of IT, logistics, event planning and business operations, Jay's goal is to show our youth, and people of color the success that is attainable through Entrepreneurship and Event Hosting. As a HUB-certified business owner, Jay has continued to grow ESKX with Taste of Soul NC & NC Sugar Rush events which launched over 4 years ago, with over 2000 people in attendance for each series. These events are praised for their family-oriented fun, amazing food, vendors, and great venue spaces.

Where are the Taste of Soul NC events held?These majority of these are held at Durham Central Park. 501 Foster St, Durham, NC 27701. City Plaza, 443 Fayetteville St Downtown Raleigh is an additional location.

How many Taste of Soul NC events are held each year?There are a minimum of 3 Taste of Soul NC Events, 2 Variety Editions & 1 Seafood Edition. There may be additional ones added like the Youth Entrepreneur Edition among others.

Where are the NC Sugar Rush events held?City Plaza, 443 Fayetteville St, Raleigh, NC 27601 Downtown Raleigh

How many NC Sugar Rush Events are held each year?1 is held each year. Through partnerships, I may hold an additional 1 in another City/Town

Does it cost to attend these events?Both events are Free to attend and open to the Public. Visitors pay for what they wish to purchase from Food & Merchant Vendors.

Are Pets Allowed?Well-behaved Pets are allowed at the event.

How do I become a Vendor?To become a Food or Merchandise vendor, visit www.tasteofsoulnc.com or www.ncsugarrush.com & click the Vendor Sign-Up tab. If this tab is not showing it means Vendor Registration is Closed at the time. Registration goes live a few months before the event date.

How much Insurance do you carry?ESKX has $2,000,000.00 in Insurance Coverage

Is there Security at your events?Yes, I hire City of Raleigh & City of Durham Police Officers to patrol each event.

Are permits obtained for these events?I obtain Permits from the City of Raleigh and the City of Durham to ensure each event is officially permitted in every way
